Pulsar Renewables showcases impressive cylinder range

Modern day requirements have changed and companies such as Pulsar Renewables, who stock quality products like Delta’s Stainless Steel Cylinders and Lapesa’s Tank in Tank Calorfiers, have made sure they keep ahead of the game through continuous innovation, resulting in products with unparalleled quality and ease of use.

Market expectations mean that cylinder systems have got to perform better than ever. Customers want access to constant, reliable hot water and with new manufacturing techniques and design this can now be achieved easily.

Delta pioneered the use of Duplex 2304 stainless steel in manufacturing. Until recently, the Duplex 2304 was reserved only for use in chemical plants and refineries due to its corrosion resistant technology. This technology is greater than that offered by most other grades of stainless steel used in today’s water tanks.

With Delta offering a life-time guarantee on all of their stainless steel cylinders, you can see why they have taken so much care to ensure the longevity of their products. Interestingly, Delta also undertakes the extra process of "pickling" every stainless cylinder before casing. This removes any impurities, which can appear during the welding process. As a result, the cylinder becomes resistant to all forms of corrosion, including pitting and crevice corrosion.

Whilst the majority of Delta’s cylinders are unvented for high pressure, they also offer a vented series for areas where water quality is especially aggressive. These vented systems still benefit from Duplex stainless steel and are available white cased or foam lagged.

Lapesa focuses on user interface, accessibility and high quality. The cylinders offer maximum efficiency in terms of heat transfer and reduced heat loss due to very high density insulation – the Lapesa cylinders use a third of the heat of other rival cylinders boasting an impressive heat loss value of 0.025 as opposed to 0.075. Insulation is seen by Lapesa as the key to greater water capacity, meaning that if a tank is kept more efficient through insulation, space can be saved inside the tank in terms of required coil size. This insulation versus coil size ethos enormously enhances the hot water capacity, making for a noticeable saving on each litre of water used.

Although the focus has been primarily on advancement and innovation, neither Delta nor Lapesa has lost sight of economic or environmental objectives.

Both Delta and Lapesa are thermally insulated with CFC-free, mould-injected rigid polyurethane foam. This method of insulation is better for the environment and is also extremely effective with minimal heat loss, leading to more efficient fuel usage and smaller bills.

What’s more, both companies’ stainless steel casings are totally recyclable, with as much as 90% of the post service life steel being converted into prime stainless steel products.

Pulsar Renewables also stock Delta’s Twin Coil Solar cylinder. This cylinder is designed to be specifically compatible with solar heating systems and complement gas and oil setups, plus it comes in all the same sizes as their regular systems do. Its secondary coil assists the system only when solar energy cannot maintain the desired temperature during periods of peak demand. This intelligent system means that Pulsar Renewables can supply a Delta Twin Coil Solar cylinder system that exceeds the most demanding energy efficiency systems.

The Lapesa smaller domestic units use the well established “Tank in Tank” technology, as the double wall goes even further in helping to decrease heat loss and increase efficiency. However the Lapesa range caters for many more situations than just in the home.

The range of applications for Lapesa units is very broad, capable of delivering domestic hot water in a small single domestic installation, right up to large institutional installations such as hotels, schools and colleges and other applications of this nature.

All Lapesa cylinders come with a five year extended guarantee against manufacturing failure, showing real confidence in their product and giving peace of mind to installers and end users alike.

Both the Delta and Lapesa cylinder systems supplied by Pulsar Renewables are highly efficient and take into account the many needs and applications of the modern user.
