Smartzone presents the HEP ST high efficiency solar circulation pump.

The new Smartzone HEP ST high efficiency pump for solar applications primarily distinguishes itself with a pump performance curve optimised for solar thermal energy.

With its manual and continuously variable power adjustment, the HEP ST can be fully adapted hydraulically to the solar system. With the additionally integrated 0-10 V input, the pump can also be controlled by standard solar controllers.

There is no energy dissipation from mechanical throttling.

This special solar circulation pump is environmentally-friendly with up to 50 % energy savings thanks to ECM technology. The integrated soft start function protects the upstream electronics. The pump housing of the HEP ST has cataphoresis coating to protect against corrosion. Within the pump, a high temperature resistant impeller made of glass fibre-reinforced composite material is used. In addition, the durability of the pump is guaranteed by all-ceramic bearings. The integrated bleeder screw and the practical angle entry-plug make installation and maintenance of the HEP ST especially easy.

Smartzone solar pumping stations will be available with the new HEP ST from July 2011. All Smartzone solar pumping stations will convert to ERP ready low energy pumps by 2012 in compliance with the new eco – design directives which will come into effect from 2013
